Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Yoggi ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered conversational app designed for children.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
By using the app, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Parent account: when setting up the app, the parent authenticates via Google, Apple, or email (OTP 6-digit code). We collect the parent's email address and a unique account identifier (UUID) through Supabase, our authentication provider.
- Child's profile: the child's first name, age, gender, and selected interests/topics (entered by the parent during setup) are stored on our servers, linked to the parent's account identifier. The child's age, gender, interests, and topic preferences are shared with our AI providers (see Section 4) to generate age-appropriate, personalized replies. The child's first name is never shared with our AI providers — it is used only within the app itself and in email communications to the parent (see Section 4).
- Conversation content: the text messages exchanged between the child and the AI assistant, stored server-side so conversation history can be displayed across sessions. This data is linked to the parent's account identifier, not to any personal identity.
- Session metadata: the date a conversation session took place.
- Voice input: audio recorded during voice interactions is transmitted to a third-party speech-to-text service for transcription and is never stored on our servers. Only the resulting text transcript is kept.
- Diagnostics and app activity: we collect an anonymous, app-generated installation identifier (not linked to your account or device advertising identifiers), along with app interaction events (e.g. feature usage, settings changes) and crash/error reports (error message, stack trace, app version, operating system version, and device model) to diagnose issues and improve reliability.
- Purchases: if you subscribe, our payment processor (see Section 4) collects your purchase and subscription status to manage entitlements.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers (e.g. Android Advertising ID or IDFA)
- Audio recordings (voice is processed in real time and immediately discarded)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information solely to:
- Display your conversation history within the app
- Generate AI responses to your messages
- Maintain and improve the reliability of the service
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond operating the app.
4. Third-Party Services
To provide AI features, we share the following data with our processors:
- OpenAI – receives the child's message text and/or voice input, the conversation history, and the child's age, gender, interests and sensitive topics (used to personalize and moderate the AI's replies). The child's first name is never sent to OpenAI. Used for speech-to-text transcription, AI text generation, and text-to-speech (privacy policy)
- Google (Gemini) – receives the same data as OpenAI above (never including the child's first name), for the same purposes (speech-to-text, AI text generation, and text-to-speech), used as an alternate provider (privacy policy)
- Resend – receives the parent's email address to deliver the optional weekly recap email. The recap content is generated from that week's conversation using our AI provider (privacy policy)
- Railway – cloud infrastructure and database hosting, located in the European Union (privacy policy)
- RevenueCat – receives an app-generated user identifier and manages your purchase and subscription status (privacy policy)
- AppsFlyer – on iOS only, receives app install and open events to measure marketing campaign performance. No advertising identifier (IDFA) is collected; on Android, AppsFlyer is not used at all (privacy policy)
We do not sell your data to any third party.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
Yoggi is designed to be used by children under parental supervision, and account setup and purchases
are gated behind a parental gate. We do not knowingly collect contact information directly from
children. The child's first name, age, gender, and interests — entered by a parent during setup —
are stored on our servers linked to the parent's account and are used to personalize the AI
companion's conversation. The child's first name is never shared with any AI provider; only the
age, gender, interests, and topic preferences are shared with the AI providers listed in Section 4,
solely to generate age-appropriate replies. This information is never used for advertising or
profiling, and is never shared with anyone other than the processors listed in Section 4.
Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to request deletion of all data associated with
their child's device.
6. Data Retention
Conversation history is retained as long as the app is in use. You can request deletion of all
your data at any time by contacting us (see section 8). We will process deletion requests within
30 days.
7. Data Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Our database is hosted on
Railway's managed infrastructure with access controls restricted to authorized personnel.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any
changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
